The UT Gardens, Jackson, located on the grounds of the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, is famous for repurposing used items to create whimsical garden art. Visitors tour the cotton micro gin located at the Center. The gin processes cotton research samples for multiple states. UT Extension horticulturist Carol Reese leads a class on plant selection for members of the greenhouse and landscape industries. The forty-foot bottle wall at the UT Gardens, Jackson, is a favorite display for many visitors. Researchers at the Center study a variety of agricultural crops, including soybeans, cotton, and corn. A favorite Summer Celebration feature is the Diagnostic Tent, where UT experts can answer plant and pest questions.
