
2026 Cotton Tour

Time: 8 a.m. – Noon
Explore on-site cotton research plots during this free annual field day. Attendees will gain valuable insight into various aspects of crop production, including ThryvOn cotton, variety testing, cover crops, irrigation, nutrient management, disease treatment, weed and insect control, and more. Certified Crop Adviser and pesticide recertification points are available, as well as a complimentary lunch at the end of the tour.

Join UT Gardens, Jackson for this free, family-friendly gardening event!
On Thursday, attendees will enjoy presentations from guest lecturers, guided garden tours, demonstrations by Madison County Master Gardeners, wagon tours of the Center, local vendors, and the beginning of the fall plant sale with hundreds of varieties of plants available for purchase. The second day of the event will feature the fall plant sale only.
The complete list of plants for sale will be posted one week before the event!

3:30 p.m. – Walking tour of UT Gardens, Jackson
4:00 p.m. – Guided demonstration – Hosted by Madison County Master Gardeners (one hour)
4:30 p.m. – Walking tour of UT Gardens, Jackson
5:00 p.m. – Guided demonstration – Hosted by Madison County Master Gardeners (one hour)
6:00 p.m. – Dinner provided by Madison County Master Gardeners
6:30 p.m. – Guest lecture (Speaker to be announced)
